Heya!
I've been talking with Blade and noting comments from Vitae since the outage an hour or two ago.
The unofficial newsline is:
"Well they're [Jheryn] fixing that problem right now. It was due to the scripting on there." (i.e. no mention of bandwidth)
Blade will be updating her journal (current vsn) with further news (/link to LiveJournal entry) as this becomes available and a note of the IRC channel (on anthrochat?) dedicated to FurAffinity.
Also recommend keeping an eye on any updates from Vitae.
Your patience and support would be appreciated, I'm sure.
Certainly this was not an "ideal" manner to launch a new "community" service, but the need for speed was forced somewhat by events on sA.
(Was already up to ~1,000 users within the first two days).
